Coronas Artist Eva Castellenoz

Nyssa artist Eva Castellanoz received an NEA National Heritage Fellowship for her work preserving Mexican traditional arts. She uses wire, paper and wax to make beautiful flowers by hand. She’s descended from Brazeros, the workers who migrated north to work in the factories and fields during World War II. Eva embraced her parents’ lessons on heritage and her knowledge of plants and herbal rememdies is encyclopedic.
