Oregon Art Beat

Deborah Horrell

Deborah Horrell uses glass frit to create vessels that look as delicate as spun sugar. But they’re surprisingly sturdy. We’ll see how she makes these modern glass art pieces using the pate de verre process. We’ll also visit the new Providence Cancer Center where her commissioned pieces impart a message of beauty and fragility as well as strength and resilience.
