Carl and Bill played together in a college folk trio in 1959,including some songs by Woodie Guthrie, and then they went their separate ways. But when Bill,, who worked for the Bonneville Power Administration, found a file with details of Woodie Guthrie’s employment there as a songwriter, a new group was formed. Now playing as the Wanderers, Bill and Carl are reviving the Columbia River songs that Woodie wrote while living in Portland in 1941.
