Oregon Art Beat

Illustrator Carson Ellis

Inspired by scenes from sad and distant times, like Siberia or the Great Depression, illustrator Carson Ellis creates drawings that look like scenes from a fairy tale, so it’s no surprise that she also does children’s book illustrations. Ellis is most famous, however, for her work with the band the Decembrists. She’s done album covers for them, as well as additional art and designs for T-shirts.
