Oregon Art Beat

Jazz Violinist Eddie Parente

This video is not currently available. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The violin is an unusual instrument for a jazz musician, but Eddie Parente is well known as a musician and improviser, and is able to make a living as a violinist. He plays classical and Celtic music as well, and that requires a lot of practice. A computer program provides accompaniment when he practices alone in his home studio.

First Broadcast: 2009
