Oregon Art Beat

John Maher

You’ll feel as if you stepped back in time when you see the work of Columbia Gorge photographer John Maher. As photographers did before the age of color film, he hand-tints his photos to create a look that evokes a long-ago era. We’ll learn the secrets of his amazing pictures and see whether the talent lies in the original photograph or the tinting work that he does later.
