Oregon Art Beat

Ledger Artist Frank Salcido

Frank Salcido’s colorful, somewhat primitive drawings are done on lined ledger paper for a reason. His inspiration is the primitive drawings done in colored pencils by Plains Indians during the early days of European settlement. The only paper available to them was the lined paper from bookkeeping tablets.
