Oregon Art Beat

Painter Felicia Capuia

This video is not currently available. We apologize for any inconvenience.

College student Felicia Capuia works with acrylic paints, using photos from Zambia, where she was born in a refugee camp. She doesn’t remember Africa, so her paintings of family members and African scenes are a way to meditate on her background. The images are bright and look like murals.
