This video is not currently available. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Portland-based ‘little orchestra’ Pink Martini was founded in 1994 by Thomas Lauderdale, a Harvard graduate and classically trained pianist. In the years following Pink Martini grew from four musicians to its current 12, and has gone on to perform its multilingual repertoire on concert stages and with symphony orchestras throughout the world. This story aired on the very first Oregon Art Beat program on April 7, 2000.

First Broadcast: 2000
Producer: Tom D’Antoni
