Baby Crab Story

OPB | Feb. 1, 2001 7:30 p.m.

A first-hand look at the risks of working on an ocean-going vessel as we follow scientists studying Dungeness Crab larvae. There‚Äôs nothing boring about this research project, high seas are a constant challenge for the tiny ship and crew. Dungeness Crab are an important part of Oregon’s coastal economy, yet very little is known about their life cycle. With extensive data collection the crew of the McArthur hopes to shed light on the mystery.
