Biscuit Fire Recovery

OPB | Feb. 1, 2004 7:30 p.m.

The Biscuit fire of 2002 was the state’s largest recorded wildfire, burning 500,000 acres of Oregon’s Siskiyou Mountains. Using archival footage we examine the area as it looked before and after the fire, and tackle the inevitable questions: When is fire good? How should forests be managed to keep fire from getting out of control?
