Cycle Oregon

OPB | Feb. 7, 2008 12:30 p.m.

Every year, Cycle Oregon brings two thousand people together to spend a week bicycling through Oregon. The ride is not a race, but it’s a challenge, with riders covering 50 to 70 miles a day for seven days straight. As Cycle Oregon turns 20, riders discuss the trip’s goal of bringing urban and rural Oregonians together. The route avoids major cities, and sometimes doubles the population of a small town where riders spend the night.
