Fish Trawler Research

Commercial trawl nets scoop up everything in their path, both commercially valuable fish and many others that they aren’t legally allowed to keep. These fish are simply thrown back into the water. Now scientists at the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport are studying how many of these thrown back fish can survive.
