Helicopter Logging

OPB | Feb. 1, 1995 7:30 p.m.

Logging by helicopter helps to preserve and protect land and soil from destruction that would normally be caused by the use of heavy equipment in traditional logging. The 31,000 acre Cook Canyon site near Klamath, Oregon has been an area valued for its spiritual aspects. The logging operation is expensive and has a high potential for danger and must be run efficiently and with a heightened awareness of the workers.
