In the Klamath Basin, an indian/settler conflict known as the Modoc Wars, reached its peak in the early 1870s. The resulting violence produced a tale of drama and tragedy that has become a legend in Canby, Oregon. Examine with us the fate of the key players, Captain Jack and General Edward Canby. Hear their story, a little known bit of Oregon history, and view the rugged and surreal setting of their conflict in the Lava Beds National Monument.
