Mountain Unicycle

OPB | Nov. 22, 2007 12:30 p.m.

Meet a group of adventure-seekers in Bend, Oregon who have found a challenging new way to play outdoors: mountain unicycling. A pair of bike builders in Bend adapted the traditional unicycle to more rugged terrain adding fatter tires, softer seats, and longer cranks. The result was the creation of a new twist on mountain biking that is gaining popularity among those willing to try the next new outdoor adventure.
