Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp

OPB | Nov. 15, 2007 12:30 p.m.

This decades-old summer camp for people with disabilities is set in Mount Hood National Forest. The camp emphasizes what the campers can do rather than what they can’t. Kids push their limits as they cross a raging stream balanced on a cable, canoe on Trillium Lake, ride the white water of the Deschutes River and much more. And they do it all with big smiles on their faces.
