Passing on Ancient Customs and Traditions

OPB | Feb. 1, 1993 7:30 p.m.

Listen to one Native American family as they struggle to pass on ancient traditions and customs to their children and grandchildren. With the ancient cultural belief that children are the lifeline to preserving their cultural pasts, this family works hard to spend time teaching their children about their heritage. But the pressures of modern technology compete with their efforts, creating a complex struggle between the past and the present.
