Smith & Bybee Lakes

This video is not currently available. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Smith and Bybee lakes, located in north Portland, make up the largest urban wetland in the United States. Though a maze of industrialization surrounds these lakes those who make the journey will find a birders paradise. Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, Bald Eagles and King Fishers are just a few of the many species on display. The rare Western Painted Turtle also live in and around these two lakes.
