Turtle Rescue

Turtle populations are declining around the world. The Northwest Ecological Research Institute’s Turtle Project is the state’s largest turtle clinic, rehabbing sick and injured turtles so they can be returned to the wild. The clinic accepts all turtles, including the threatened Western pond turtle.
