Wild Horse Trainer

OPB | Feb. 1, 1999 7:30 p.m.

Meet Oregon’s own 85-year-old “horse whisperer”. John Sharp has been “gentling” wild horses for over 60 years. We’ll see how he does it and learn a little bit about the horse sense he’s picked up over the years. He uses a bamboo pole, a rope, and a calm approach to transform wild horses into loyal saddle horses.
