Winter Feeding


The elk of Elkhorn Ridge spend their summers up in the mountains, but in the winter, they head to lower elevations to feed. As the lowlands filled with ranches, the elk began to eat and destroy haystacks. But by feeding the elk in winter, managers have solved the conflict.
