Primary Diversions
Newsrooms often have little informal competitions to see who can get closest to election results, and OPB is no exception. But we figured: why should we have all the fun? (And yes, sadly, thisis how we have fun.)
Anyway, if you're interested, let us know who will win these various races:
- President (D) -- and by what percentage?
- Senate (D)
- 5th Congressional District (D)
- 5th Congressional District (R)
- Attorney General (D)
- Secretary of State (D)
- Portland Mayor
I've been informed that we can't actually give anything away, so this is basically a gentleperson's game. But we can give you hearty approbation. And of course you'll be the envy of all of your friends.
Oh, and obviously: you have to get these in before 8pm!
-
Obama, 70%
Novick - maybe it is just wishful thinking..
(I am not in the 5th district)
Kroger
Brown - I voted for Walker, but I doubt she will win
Adams -
hmmm, do i have to play? i'm really just interested in the chemeketa community college bit. besides, i'm an indie, so i don't get to vote on the stack...
that said,
President: Alan Keyes, 82%
(with a start like that, maybe i should just quit while i'm behind... after all, who ever heard of a conservative African-American running for president? 8O ) -
President - Obama by 7%
Senate - Merkley
5th District (D) - Schrader
5th District (R) - Mannix
Attorney General - Macpherson
Secretary of State - Brown
Portland Mayor - Adams -
Comments are now closed.

These are numbers generated by polling political science students at Western Oregon University between 2:00 and 3:00 pm today.
