Rx: The Big View
Sometimes we make a big deal about a special series of shows, like the news department-wide project The Switch, or our own As We Are series: We name them and brand them and spread the word about them. Then sometimes series sort of creep up on us. That's the case with our recent coverage of the healthcare overhaul debate, which has become a weekly feature.
So far we've talked about:
- Doctors' Salaries, and how various methods of compensation affect the delivery of healthcare;
- Health Promotion, and the role it could (and should) play in a new system;
- and the Role of Employers in insurance coverage
And coming up on Thursday — in response to many comments on last week's show — we'll look at whether or not companies should profit from providing healthcare.
What other conversations do you want to hear about healthcare? We're trying to stay away from the daily political horse race — we've taken this critique to heart — but we want to focus on the details that matter to you.
