TOL Pick: Fruit Bats
I've been listening to the Fruit Bats album, Tripper, for a few weeks now. People have been recommending it to me since it came out earlier this year and now I'm recommending it to you. You may have heard this local band on OPB Music during Pickathon. The song "You're Too Weird" is probably the most popular song on the album, thanks to the cheezy 80s parody video the band made to go along with it. It's also a really catchy and fun song. I think "So Long," the second song on the album, is my favorite. It's got this ethereal, waltzy feel to it. With quite a few upbeat tunes, I think Tripper is going to be on heavy rotation in my ears as winter sets in.
