Editor’s Note: This post has been changed to reflect the facts about what led police to Acord.

News broke this weekend of the arrest of 17-year-old West Albany High School student Grant Acord Thursday. Following a tip from a caller, Albany police searched Acord’s home and found bombs, bomb-making materials and what appear to be detailed plans for an assault on his school.

Acord is due in court Tuesday afternoon to face charges, including attempted aggravated murder. Acord will be tried as an adult, under Measure 11.
