A bill in the Oregon legislature would require the Oregon Health Authority to study the possibility of single-payer health care in Oregon. The single-payer system would eliminate the private market and set up a plan where a public health care entity would pay all medical costs in the state. Vermont is implementing a single-payer health care plan, and Oregon would use its experience as a model.
The bill would also look into the feasibility of a health care system that would be a mix of both private and public options.
What do you want to see health care in Oregon look like in ten years?
