Coos Bay LNG

Federal regulators are in Coos Bay this week to tour the site of a proposed liquified natural gas (LNG) terminal. Last year the Jordan Cove project sought to turn their previous proposal to import LNG into a export facility instead. Officials with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission are meeting with Jordan Cove and will be considering the project’s permit application. Jordan Cove is holding an open house in nearby North Bend to answer questions and get feedback from the community. OPB EarthFix reporter Amelia Templeton is on the ground in Coos Bay and will update us on the long-running and controversial effort.

Do you live in Coos Bay? How would an LNG terminal affect you?
