Curbside Composting

It’s been two months since Portland started a new program designed to reduce waste and increase recycling and food composting. Before the city rolled out the changes, we talked with people about their reactions to the proposed program. Now that Portlanders have been dealing with getting their garbage picked less often and had the opportunity to try out food composting at the curb, we thought we’d check in on the realities.

If you were initially skeptical of the new garbage and composting program, have you changed your tune? Are you buying or cooking different things now? How have you handled garbage disposal and food composting in the last two months?
