About 50,000 cars drive across the Morrison bridge every day, making it the busiest Multnomah County-owned bridge. (The only busier ones in the Portland area are owned by the state: the Marquam and Fremont bridges.) The Morrison was recently refurbished after many delays and a cost of more than four million dollars. But now there are big questions about the safety of the bridge. A lawsuit filed by the contractor against the supplier and designer of the new decking that it installed alleges that the decking was not “adequate or appropriate for the project.”
Do you drive over the Morrison bridge? What questions do you have about the work that was done on the bridge or the safety of the bridge now?
