Lawmakers hoped (pdf) to wrap up the 2013 legislative session by this Friday, but it doesn’t seem likely that all of the horsetrading and bargaining will be done by then. The session has to adjourn by the constitutionally mandated deadline of July 13, so that leaves less than two weeks to finalize the budget, with big decisions on K-12 funding and a revenue-generated hospital tax still to be made.

The session started out with new laws allowing drivers licenses for undocumented immigrants, tuition equity for some immigrants, and funding for the Columbia River Crossing. Recent weeks have been quieter, with lower profile bills like ones to regulate law enforcement use of drones and limit canola production moving along, but bigger budget bills still up in the air.

What bills are you still hoping might pass? What do you want to see the legislature accomplish in the final days of the session?
