The National Basketball Players Association has elected to disband, putting the rest of what was already a lockout-shortened season in jeopardy. Commissioner David Stern has said that the N.B.A. is about to enter a “nuclear winter.” Will there be any N.B.A. ball this year? What’s expected in the days and weeks to come? What affect does this next step have on your business, your social life, your winter plans?

What’s in store for the rest of the basketball season?
