The 2012 Rose Bowl marks the third consecutive time that the University of Oregon has made it to a game in the Bowl Championship Series (BCS), but both of the past two years resulted in losses. The Ducks were beaten by Ohio state in the 2010 Rose Bowl, and last year they lost the National Championship to Auburn. They are heavily favored to win this year’s match-up against the Wisconsin Badgers. Will this third time be a charm?
Key to a victory might be running back LaMichael James, who ended up on the bench in both of the past two BCS games due to injuries. James is the Duck’s all-time leader in rushing and scoring, and with the possibility of heading to the NFL next year, this may be his last college game.
The Ducks take on the Badgers on Monday at 2 p.m. Can James lead them to a victory?
What are you expecting from the Rose Bowl this year? Which players are you going to be watching? What’s your prediction on the final score?
