Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber signed a bill this morning securing Oregon’s portion of the funding for the Columbia River Crossing. Meanwhile, a similar bill in the Washington Legislature is facing some serious opposition. The transportation package that includes money for the bridge must pass out of the House by tomorrow in order to move on to the Senate, where it faces even more of an uphill battle.
Lawmakers in Washington are also hashing out their differences on a bill that would require background checks on all gun sales in the state. It’s unclear at this point if the bill will get the support it needs to pass.
What bills are you following in the Washington Legislature this session?
