Attorney General Candidate: Ellen Rosenblum
Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum became the first female attorney general in Oregon history when she was appointed to fill the post vacated by John Kroger back in June. She's hoping voters let her keep the job this November.
Before taking the job as AG, Rosenblum was an appeals court judge. Her long resume also includes her time as a federal prosecutor and a circuit court judge. The Oregonian and former Oregon Governor Barbara Roberts are both among her endorsers.
Rosenblum has faced criticism for accepting campaign donations from pro-marijuana groups, while running for the top law enforcement position in the state. Since taking office, she's taken some flak for her decision not to release the names of the Department of Revenue workers who missed the biggest tax fraud in state history.
