The Portland Water Bureau said Sunday that a "boil water" order issued for Portlanders on the west side of the Willamette River had been lifted. Westside residents got a phone call Saturday urging them to boil their tap water before drinking or cooking with it. The alert went out after tests of one of the reservoirs in Washington Park showed the presence of bacteria, including E. coli. The reservoir was shut down and later follow-up testing showed no signs of contamination. The Water Bureau does still advise running the tap for two minutes before using the water.
Do you live on Portland's west side or own a business there? How did the "boil water" advisory affect you? What questions do you still have about it?
