Boy Scouts Consider Policy Change On Gay Scouts
On Friday the Boy Scouts of America announced that they will vote in May on whether to allow gay boys into the organization. They are not considering a policy change with regards to leaders. Gay men would continue to be banned from being troop leaders. The organization has felt pressure on both sides of the issue, with President Obama — among others — saying the scouts should let in gay members and leaders, and conservative organizations like the Family Research Council resisting any policy change.
What do you make of the Boy Scouts' decision to vote on allowing gay scouts and continuing their policy to restrict gay leaders?
