Lois Gibbs

Thirty-five years ago, Lois Gibbs brought Love Canal to the nation's attention. She'd found out that her son's school, and indeed her whole neighborhood in Niagara Falls, New York was built on a toxic waste dump. Her activism led to the relocation of the Love Canal families and brought attention to thousands of similar sites around the country. Lois Gibbs now heads the Center for Health, Environment & Justice, where she supports local clean-up actions.

Gibbs is in town to talk about how the lessons from Love Canal reverberate today and to speak at a clean air event.

Are you involved in local environmental clean-up campaigns? What questions do you have for Lois Gibbs?
