Charlie Hales Reveals His Budget Proposal
UPDATE 4/30/13 12:30pm: The Mayor has released his budget. He announced cuts that will remove 182.5 full time city positions, among other changes. OPB News will bring you more on the budget later in the day.
In his State of the City speech Friday, Portland Mayor Charlie Hales reiterated his desire to see cuts spread out across all city bureaus in order to bridge the city's $20 million budget gap. On Tuesday morning, he'll reveal his detailed plan, and city employees and the public will find out exactly what cuts he's recommending. The public will get a chance to weigh in before City Council votes on the budget plan.
