Dry Weather Impacting Water Users And Wildfires

For the first time in 38 years, the tribes in the Klamath river basin have first rights to the precious water in the region. Some agricultural water users are worried that with ongoing drought conditions, the tribes will restrict their access and fear there will not be enough water to go around.

Meanwhile, the dry conditions have also facilitated an early start to the Northwest fire season. Fire crews battled a blaze near La Pine last weekend, and officials are gearing up for an intense season
