You've likely seen electric vehicles on the road — maybe a brand new EV, an electric bike or one of the growing number of hybrids — but exactly what is the size and scope of Oregon's budding electric vehicle industry? A new report by the Portland Development Commission and Drive Oregon crunches the numbers: from the 1600 jobs directly or indirectly related to the industry to the estimated 266 million in economic impact.
