This week, we're sitting down with OPB's Ecotrope blogger Cassandra Profita to find out how Oregon is doing on meeting its goal of using more renewable energy sources. The Obama administration has already granted Oregon 2.2 million to continue researching fish-friendly hydro power. Wind energy may be the most affordable kind of energy — if combined with hydro power — it could also become the most reliable. We'll also get an update on solar energy production in China, and how that could mean big trouble for solar initiatives here at home.

Do you use energy from renewable sources? How much time and money should we be investing to create reliable energy alternatives? How much more are you willing to pay for renewable energy sources?
