Finding Funding For A New I-5 Bridge

The effort to replace the aging span across the Columbia river that connects Portland and Vancouver has been going on now, in some form or another, for more than a decade. Oregon recently passed its portion of the $3.5 billion funding package. But the project depends on Washington lawmakers passing their share. The Washington House passed a bill, but CRC funding has stalled in the Senate. Proponents are hoping for a breakthrough before the end of the legislative session, April 28.
