A new fire has sparked up in the Deschutes National Forest southwest of Sisters. The Pole Creek fire started yesterday. Now crews are working hard to keep the fire controlled, but fire managers said they are worried about the growth potential.

Over 110 fires are blazing in Central Washington — many due to lightning — and the wind doesn't seem to be letting up for fire crews there. One is near White Salmon in the Columbia River Gorge where so far over 1,614 acres have been destroyed. Although the blaze is 50 percent contained, firefighters are still battling the harsh 20 mile per hour winds making it difficult to keep it isolated

Have you been affected by the fires in Oregon or Washington?
