A recent public opinion poll conducted in the U.S. and other countries suggests that people fear the onset of Alzheimer's disease almost as much as they fear cancer. The poll also found that people think research and treatment are much farther along than they actually are.

The Alzheimer's Association International Conference just concluded in Paris where some of the most talked about research centered around the idea that healthy living is key to preventing the onset of the disease. Meanwhile researchers at OHSU are hard at work doing clinical trials and exploring ways to help stop the progression of the disease.

Are you or someone you love dealing with Alzheimer's disease? What's your reaction to new Alzheimer's research?
