Oregon is one of the states that elect justices to its highest court. This November, there's an open seat on the state supreme court and both Multnomah Circuit Court Judge Richard Baldwin and Portland attorney Nena Cook are vying to fill it.

Baldwin and Cook were the top two in the May primary and have appeared in campaign events before. Although, since this race is to fill a judicial position, there's a limit to the range and depth of issues the candidates can discuss publicly. The race is nonpartisan, though Baldwin has a number of Democratic endorsements, and Cook has been endorsed by some Republicans.

Have you been following this race? What do you need to know from the candidates in order to cast your vote?
