Speculating On The Future Of Radio
It's been a long time since radio was king. Movies, TV, internet and mobile content are competing for our attention. And although people are still listening to the radio, fewer are listening to only to broadcast stations. Online radio stations abound and podcasts seem to be here to stay. When virtually anyone can create content and make it available to the world, what is the long term prognosis for terrestrial radio stations? Will they have a place in the future or will they be essentially superfluous?
How much broadcast radio do you listen to? Do you podcast radio programs or stream them online or on a mobile device? Where do you think the future of your radio listening is headed?
