Andrew Dickson's life truly blends his art and his reality. He's been a part of the Time-Based Art Festival since its inception ten years ago. In that time, he's helped audiences reframe xenophobia, harness the power of eBay, and learn how to sell-out. This year he's back on stage as a life coach. He'll take to the stage with a pre-selected volunteer and guide them through their life decisions — right there, on stage, before an audience.
This is true Andrew Dickson. He began his career as a filmmaker here in Portland and slowly, over the years, began doing more and more performance art. He creates fictional characters and talks about mostly real things — like the 38 Things he's learned in 38 years:

Dickson also works as an advertiser. He helps to run Wieden+Kennedy's WK12 program and creates many of the Travel Oregon ads for them.
