It's the last weekend before Hanukkah and Christmas, which means you can plan on going to a bunch of Holiday classics, like The Nutcracker at Portland Ballet Theater, or Portland Baroque Orchestra's version of Handel's Messiah. Or you can go to some of the lesser-known Portland holiday events, such as the Portland Cello Project's Holiday Showdown at the Aladdin Theater, or Portland Center Stage's Santaland Diaries.
And if you have any last minute shopping to take care of, (or haven't begun yet and want to get it done in one fell swoop) ADX is hosting Gifted. It's a craft sale featuring the work of the artisans that work at ADX's community shop.
You could, of course, skip holiday events altogether and head to Plew Brew's First Annual Winter Brew Festival. Or go to The Sound of Music at the Shedd in Eugene.
What are your plans for the weekend? Are you embracing the holiday season yet, or avoiding it like the plague?
