It's 2012! Time to make good on those resolutions to go out to more cultural events! If you're planning on going out to see more music, Cappella Romana is playing Rachmaninoff's "All Night Vigil" on Friday and Sunday nights. And Curtis Salgado is playing Jimmy Mak's on Saturday, if you're looking for something bluesier.

If you're trying to get out to more theater, Profile Theater is producing Edward Albee's At Home at the Zoo — which includes two Albee plays: 1958's The Zoo Story, and his brand-new Homelife. And Theater Vertigo begins its run of "dinner-party-from-hell" show Hunter Gatherers.

Or if you've resolved to see more visual art, what better time to start than the first First Thursday of 2012. Blue Sky has an exhibit on four decades of Polaroids by Robert Frank, and the Laura Russo Gallery is opening a painting and ceramics show with Marlene Bauer and Gina Wilson.

What will you be doing this weekend to make good on your arts & culture new years resolutions? What else are you up to this weekend?
